Mac "Green Expand to Full Screen" Button Bug

While you are in Minecraft Windowed mode, and then click the green "expand to fullscreen" button in the top left-hand corner, then go to Minecraft settings and toggle fullscreen on then off, it will push the Minecraft window halfway out of the screen and won't seem to be able to go back to windowed mode even if you click the green "expand to fullscreen" button again.

If you go to a new application while it is in the glitched fullscreen (game looks like it does in the picture), then go back to minecraft and try to toggle fullscreen back on, it will sometimes crash the client. Can't fully figure out what causes this bug.

Unconfirmed: One time, the mouse would freeze when going to the f3 or f4 screen to sort through applications in the bugged fullscreen. This didn't seem to happen more than once, but could be important.

it will sometimes crash the client

Could you please attach the crash report as well?

Reproduced the shifting behavior in 18w50a. Not seeing the green button once in any type of fullscreen mode.

Added the crash report. Also, updated the macOS to High Sierra.

Found a strange new crash while testing the bug for 19w11a. While the client was glitched, I tried to access the settings and strange words appeared on the client. I was unable to read the words due to the client being shifted too far to the side. To attempt to read these words, I hit the green "expand to fullscreen" button which caused a crash with a drastically different crash report.

Adding this crash report along side the other for more information about the crash.

Is this the same issue as MC-40597?

Resolving this as a duplicate of MC-40597, as these tickets seem to describe the same issue
