Slow destruction of blocks in Creative

When attempting to quickly swap a block with another type (i.e. destroying it and immediately placing the block in one's hand), it's possible for the newly placed block to be placed on one of the already destroyed block's sides, even if no other block is adjacent to the erroneously placed block.
