I've looked up this bug and apparently it's 'fixed' but I've seen it has occurred again. There are floating torches on a village lamp post (1st screenshot) and just round the corner is another lamp-post with a missing fence at the bottom (2nd screenshot). The world is a super-flat world with dirt 3 deep, bed-rock at bottom, cheats allowed, and villages/dungeons etc allowed to render.

On my 1.5 the torches properly attached. However, some posts were missing one torch.

I Already searched for this Bug and I found it but found it as 'fixed', I didn't see any work in progress or open reports. Apologies.
