Armor Stand Wont allow data tags

When doing /data merge entity @e[type=armor_stand,sort=nearest,limit=1] {CustomName:"Purple"}
Response is "Loading Entity NBT" and doesn't change.

EDIT: Also if summoning armor stand says "Unable to summon entity"
