What were you doing to cause the crash?

Description pretty much matches MC-12408, but I'm not sure if this is a dupe
There are numerous instances of crashes when joining a server (note that single-player counts as a server), not gonna get tracker numbers
EDIT: And I didn't see that one on the tracker, 'MC nullpointerexception'. Good job.
