When I sleep, about 1 time in 20-30, the game fades down to about halfway through the 'fade to darkness' animation, then freezes, then after a few seconds quits unceremoniously to the Mac desktop. This has occurred (unpredictably) for at least the last dozen weeklies.
I carry a bed with me at all times, and sleep wherever I happen to be when it gets dark, so this occurs in many locations. But I've never yet spotted any more of a pattern than that.

I was just going to get it...!
The Minecraft crash-reports folder has nothing in it - that dump's from the Console.
Please force a crash by pressing F3 + C for 10 seconds while ingame and attach the crash report here.
Sorry for slow response, but after a bit of trying I got a crash dump from the game on the actual site of a 'crash while sleeping' issue.
Your Java version is out of date. Please update your Java to the latest version: http://www.java.com/en/download/ . Keep in mind that when using a 32-bit browser on a 64-bit OS the automatic version detection will only show the 32-bit version of Java, the 64-bit version needs to be downloaded manually: http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp .
Please report if the issue persists with the latest Java version.
Frequency of this crash is quite reduced, but I hit it again just yesterday. I am running the latest possible Java available to Mac Os 10.5.8.
Nothing more we can do here.

Please attach the crash report, otherwise this ticket is incomplete.
