Furnaces generated in a blacksmith (village) do not smelt any items

The furnaces generated in a village will not smelt items.

I tried using coal and lava as fuel, and I tried to smelt iron ore, cobblestone, and raw beef.

If you break the furnace, then place it, it works as normal.
