Taking over 250% CPU on a MacBook Pro

The latest Minecraft 1.13 snapshot is lagging really bad compared to 1.12.2 and other 1.13 snapshots and takes up over 250% of the CPU (the most I found it at was ~260-270%) which makes everything pretty much unusable.

Still affects 18w15a. Right now, the highest numbers I've gotten are up to 180% on a super flat world, and up to 220% on a normal world.

Please check if that's still an issue in 1.13pre-1. If so, please force a crash by pressing F3 + C for 10 seconds while in-game and attach the crash report (minecraft/crash-reports/crash-<DATE>-client.txt) here.

I still have this issue, I just haven't responded in a while, it's been sitting in my mail unread! 😛

I can get up to 1000% CPU usage in 1.13-pre7. I have attached the crash report:

and a few screenshots of insane CPU usage.

NOTE: I am on a MacBook Air.

To above comment:
Your computer does not meet the minimum specifications.

The CPU is underpowered compared to the minimum spec, probably because it is a U (low power) version.

Your computer does not meet the minimum system requirements to run Minecraft.

Please check if that's still an issue for you in the 1.13.1 release.

Not OP, but I've also been having the same issue for a while on my MacBook Pro, still happens in 1.13.2 for me.
