This bug has resurfaced: https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-13695
I wasn't sure how to reopen an old bug. It's a problem in LWJGL 3, I assume. Game is unplayable on Mac laptops without a fix for this.
Environment
macOS High Sierra 10.13.3
Macbook Pro (Mid 2014)
Java 1.8.0_74 64bit
