New ocean biomes seem to generate in incorrect temperatures

The new ocean biomes seem to generate in the wrong temperatures. I found a frozen ocean next to a mesa, a frozen ocean next to a desert. a warm ocean next to a snowy taiga, and a desert with a small cold ocean in it.

What i expected to happen
Warm oceans near warm biomes, cold oceans near cold biomes.

What actually happened
Cold oceans near warm biomes, warm oceans near cold biomes.

This problem does seem too common. "tilly" is a seed where this is in effect near Spawn, and our server group exploring new seeds have discarded a dozen candidates because we don't want frozen ice oceans adjacent to our jungle/ plains/ desert biomes right at spawn. And of course, it does no good to break the ice... next rain storm will freeze it right back. 18w11a

Still happening with 18w15a.

While having the ocean temperature match the land temperature would be nice, with the current biome generation, it is impossible without breaking biome distribution on already existing maps.

This problem might be eventually fixed if we completly revamp the biome selector in the future.

Checking the Wiki (which I know isn't an official source, but it is a source), ocean biomes all have the same temperature value, could this be related to that?

This bug has been fixed in 21w37a

Pescavelho the Idle

This bug appears to have largely been fixed due to the way biomes generate having been changed in 21w37a.
