Can reproduce with given seed and co-ordinates

I found one too. seed: -8300275442758179407, x/y/z: -675/64/20

I think this is a Work As Intended. Go to Minecraft.net, and you will see that the article says "You can also sometimes find them [ruins] slightly underground or slightly above sealevel (sic)". Here is the link: Minecraft Snapshot 18w09a.

@unknown Alright, thank you for the information! This can be closed as Working as Intended.

Just encountered similar issue, couple "underwater ruins" generated on dry land, relatively far away from the ocean (on biome plains)

@unknown this issue has already been closed as Works As Intended.

I understand that this has been decided to be expected behavior but I think it would be best to reopen this ticket and urge the developers to polish this feature a little bit. Because the bottom of the structure is made out of gravel, the building is effectively floating in the air, which looks entirely wrong. If we found floating houses in villages, we would not call them expected behavior. Thanks.

Ocean Ruins generated in 1.13.1 Full release

No need to update. The ticket has been resolved as 'Works As Intended'...

I have another example of this which i am pretty sure does not work as intended as I've found an example of this pretty far from an ocean.
the coordinates are {color:#00875a}-1799 -2468{color} and the seed is {color:#00875a}-4605092171364328000{color}.
