I made a world with 1.12 then updated to snapshot. I thought that's why villagers were leaving the village. So I made a new world with the latest snapshot and they are still wandering around and leaving the village. They stay outside at night too. Some farmers will harvest the crops even at night. But they eventually all just wander away from the village. I have screenshots on my pc if you need them I can add them later? Thanks

This bug appears to have returned, the villagers that exist by any method (natural, egg, cured zombie natural or from egg) are not finding shelter or returning to buildings at night. They are also wandering far from their villages and not returning nor claiming buildings if built where they have wandered to.
Here are some screenshots of both a wandering villager and a wandering iron golem. I have seen this occur, both villagers and iron golems, in multiple villages.
Here is a view of one particular village from atop a nearby hill.
[media]And if I turn 180 degrees, here is a villager belonging to that village up on the hill with me, roughly 50 blocks west and 75 blocks north of the town bell.
[media]As you can see from this screenshot, the villager is still miles from home even as the sun is setting, and makes no attempt to return to the village.
[media]Even when I have tried to push the villager towards the village, it has not returned to its home. It also cannot be traded with, and attempting to trade with it makes it grumple and walk away, often further from the village.

In 1.12.2 villagers don't leave the village but will stay outside next to houses, and farmers will harvest at night.
