[MC-128012] Missing sound from falling block breaking

According to MC-172 there should be a sound when a falling block drops as an item. But there isn't.

Popping as in 'breaking into an item'

not as in 'making a popping sound'. The person who created MC-172 apparently simply misunderstood the changelog:

Falling sand now properly “pops” when falling on non-solid blocks (such as torches)

Resolving this as a Duplicate.
