I have an infinite water source under stairs and surrounded blocks then by half slab floor. I broke 1 block to replace it and the water source spread over the whole of the half slab floor. sponges wont absorb water either. Have have had this build since first 1.13 snapshot and have broken blocks around water source without this happening.
