Pickaxes only usable once

When starting a new world in the latest snapshot. Punched tree, made crafting bench, made wood pick. Then I mined one piece of stone. Pickaxe became stuck in swinging animation and would not mine any more blocks aside from the one stone I mined out.

Troubleshooting done:
-Removed wooden Pickaxe from hotbar. Resulting in arm going back to default pose, could punch at stone. Re-equipping the Pickaxe resulted in swinging animation still being stuck.
-Made second wooden Pickaxe, resulting in same response
-Save & Quit back to menu, then went back into world. Resulting in Pickaxe still being stuck in animation
-Quit entirely, reopening launcher. Resulted in Pickaxe still stuck in animation, unable to mine
