When flying for a while slows down

For some reason when I fly forward fastly for quite a while, and then stop moving in the air, and then start going forward fastly again, (sometimes you have to do it more than twice) it will just start flying slowly even though I’m double tapping the forward arrow. This is highly annoying when you want to go places, because nearly every time you stop for about a second, you have to drop from the sky and then fly up again in order for you to be able to fast fly. Please get this fixed ASAP because I went on a server and so many people found it so annoying. Thanks 😀
