Kelp Does Not Grow On Blocks changed by user.

There are some circumstances where I should be able to place Kelp, but I am not. These include man made ponds as well as slight changes to a natural pond surface.

This seems to have something to do with the new strange (non) water physics. If you fill your pond with source blocks from the bottom up instead of filling from the top it most often works. If you break blocks to deepen the pond you need to fill the space previously occupied by the block with water. These steps work almost consitently, but not entirely to my great confusion. I noticed no difference in the block accepting being planted on if the block had been placed by me or not when trying to get the water sources right.

This bug report is most likely a duplicate of https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-130955 which has been marked as "Works as intended".

The issues are similar, but they are not the same. I am going to post a video clip if I can of a situation where it does not allow me to place kelp in source blocks.

CORRECTION! It is going to have to be on youtube since the file size exceeds 10 MB. It will be unlisted so that only people with the link will view it.

This is more or less the same issue as MC-130955 for the source blocks below have become flowing blocks.

The buggy part here however seems to be that the source blocks are overwriting the source blocks below, turning them into flowing blocks.

EDIT: And nor can I find a way to convert these back into source blocks. Using the water bucket or /setblock manages to convert the block back into a source block as displayed by "falling:false", but it quickly changes back to "falling:true".

If you manage to place a waterloggable block in the space after you dump the bucket, it'll stay a source block until the waterlogged block is removed.

This only seems to happen with the block below the upmost source block.

This seems to relate to MC-130530

Yes. This is probably a resulting issue.

This is a duplicate of MC-130955, an issue marked as WAI.
