No Hunger Regen on Servers after eating Chorus Fruit

So on a Minecraft server I was conquering a end city with someone and I was using chorus fruit to teleport me to a different spot if my health was low. But after doing that a few times I was low on health and I was not regening I had full hunger and I waited a minute and din't regen so I relogged and waited a minute and I still didn't regen. But when I ate another Chorus Fruit I started to regen again.
