Typing the /effect command wrong can corrupt a world

I expected the game to notify me that I had typed the command wrong

I got an error report every time I try to open the world

I typed /effect @p 8290 120 (or another variation of Swiftness II, I can't reproduce for some reason)

Wait, the ID of Swiftness is 1, 8290 looks like a potion damage value to me. Also, for Swiftness II you would want to set the fourth parameter (amplifier) to 1 (or 2, in the code it is 1, I have no idea for the command). Hmm..

Yeah, I know I typed the command wrong. What I'm saying is that when I typed it wrong, the world got corrupted and I can no longer play it without crashing.

Yep that's it. The "Ticking Error". Any ideas on how to fix it? The world was a big adventure map that I've spent HOURS building
