It's very easy to replicate the error. Access the crafting recipe book in your inventory, click on any crafting recipes in which you do not have the required recipes to craft the item, and your game will crash.

Can confirm this happens, I've had it happen to me once, to a friend once, and to another friend once. All different recipes. Makes much more sense once you explained why it happens,
