Item-entering-hopper bug with weighted pressure plates

Hoppers that are powered with a weighted pressure plate placed on top of them, with items thrown onto the hopper, if you unpower the hopper, the items do not go into the hopper. As well as this, is you throw multiple items at once on a hopper with a weighted pressure plate, only the first item passes through.
