This has only seemed to happen to me with the snapshot versions of 1.13 (I haven't tested =< 1.12 snapshot versions)
On clicking the 'Play' button to launch a 1.13 snapshot for about 10 seconds my entire PC as well as the sound starts freezing and lagging a heap. It only seems to happen with the 1.13 snapshots.
I highly doubt my computer is limiting this in anyway but i could be wrong.
Please force a crash by pressing
F3 + Cfor 10 seconds while in-game and attach the crash report (minecraft/crash-reports/crash-<DATE>-client.txt) here.
