Piston Glitch

Hello, I am unable to understand what I am doing wrong. I am trying to make a redstone circuit but I noticed what I think is a bug.

[L] [B]    L- Lever     B- nothing

[B] [B]

[T] [P]   T- Torch     P- piston

When the lever is activated in the set up above and the pistons are retracted, pistons with an activated switch 2 blocks above stay extended. I have uploaded a picture of this and am willing to clarify any misunderstandings with my issue. Thank you.
