Game freezes/softlocks when you click off of it

wait, do you mean this? This was from the last time i played minecraft, and the bug occurred then, so i closed minecraft since it softlocked.

No. It's in the .minecraft folder and is named launcher_log.txt.

maybe its the wrong one, and becuase it softlocks it doesn't create one

You still haven't attached the right log. Simply open .minecraft folder and you'll see launcher_log.txt. Don't need to enter other folders.

The log says you launched with Minecraft 1.13-pre4. Please use the current snapshot and see if the issue persists, and don't mark the wrong versions on the affected versions tab.

i can't, it won't let me use it

Why?

when i try to use/download it, it says this:

other people are able to use it though, so i didn't make a bug thing for this, since it only affects me

if i could use pre release 5 and could not reproduce the bug, then i would remove pre release 5

well if i launch a different instacne of minecraft with pre release 5 or 6, it works, but if i use latest snapshot instacne, it doesn't

The latest snapshot's instance says this:

the softlock bug afects pre 6 as well, since now i have found a method to launch it and play pre release 6

a similar thing also happens when tpying in chat, where the game softlocks

this bug still is not fixed

Launcher log says it crashes, and a JRE dump is also performed. Crash reports can be found in the crash-reports folder of the minecraft directory, and the JRE logs should be in the main folder in the format hs_err(something)

Well, when i reopen minecraft, it says it crashed, even though it just froze
