I have tested this on a singleplayer world and on a server with a few friends and in both cases, I used for 3 droppers and 3 dispensers. Every time they were activated anyone within the area looking at the blocks would receive a brutal drop in FPS.

Can you post a world or screenshot in so we can recreate it? What CPU and GPU you have? Can you post a screenshot with the F3 menu open when it drops FPS?
