Earlier in the snapshots, I'm aware there was a bug where sounds were "too directional" but was later "fixed." I'm still having what I think is that issue. Sounds are generally, very strange in 1.13 and different from previous release versions (1.12.2 etc.) When turning a different direction from where a sound is coming from, the sound becomes strangely muffled. I am not the only one who has this problem on the release of 1.13 as I searched other forums and have found people with similar problems. I know some people are afraid of clicking links but I did find two videos of what it sounds like:

Hi! I noticed this issue too. I went ahead and made a video to compare the sound in both the previous version, and the current. Hopefully this gets patched soon! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cVx6DRatxOg
I noticed this issue as well. Sounds are too far to the sides. If I open a chest, the sound will be fully left if the chest is slightly to the left. Sounds that are behind are muffled.
Here's a quick video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0EDFzPUzYkQ
I am experiencing a similar issue, though its more like what William Johnson showed in their linked video than what is shown in the other videos. This happens in all versions as far as I've tested and started when I updated my OS to Windows 11. When I look away from the source of the sound, for example, a jukebox, the sound gets insanely quiet, as if I'm almost out of range from hearing it. when I am far from it and face right at it, it gets super loud, though not as loud as it would be if I were standing right Infront of the jukebox. I'm not sure if this fits the same bug as described here so I'm going to make a new bug report if I don't find anything identical.
Would like to note that while the videos I linked were from older snapshots, the issue is still present for me in the 1.13 release
