sticky pistons still dosen't work as intended in 1.13!

I tried it just when the sticky piston facing S. I'm not sure what if it facing others. I'm not sure what if it will works everywhere as well.

When the sticky piston is retracting with two blocks in front, power it immediately. Then the sticky piston no longer extends.

Steps to Reproduce:

1.Do it in the picture .
2.Press the button.
3.Then the sticky no longer extends.
