Sounds when taking falling damage occasionally out of sync

I know that the falling sound is separate from the normal "hit1", "hit2" etc. but sometimes they don't sync up which ends up with the thud occurring before the bone crack. This hasn't happened before 1.4.4. Is this a client-sided bug because this never happens with other players in multiplayer.

The "thud" is client-sided and happens whenever you hit the ground. The damage sound occurs when the server processes the fall and gives the client the appropriate damage.

I just don’t understand why it was perfectly synced before. Is there a way I could make the damage sound client sided on my own?
