Randomly starts breaking blocks when you tap and hold on them to look around

Sometimes when I tap and hold on a block to look around, it starts randomly mining it, and I cannot stop it, even when I make my character look away.

Could you please explain what you mean by tap and hold? Which button are you pressing?
