Greetings,
Recently my computer received the new launcher. After that, I am no longer able to connect to Minecraft servers (public or my personal) nor Minecraft Realms. I have an Ubuntu 18.04 machine.
The problem is that whenever I try to enter to any server the following message prompts:
Failed to log in: The authentication servers are currently down for maintenance.
Whilst in https://help.mojang.com/ it shows that they're not down
Something similar happens when trying to enter to Realms:
An error occurred (500):
Could not connect to Realms: java.lang.RuntimeException: Unexpected error: java.security.InvalidAlgorithmParameterException: the trustAnchors parameter must be non-empty
I have tried reinstalling MC (both using SNAP package and downloading from website)
I have rebooted (because it will be asked)
I have manually purged both .minecraft from profile directory as well as the .minecraft under the snap directory.
I have seen this issue before (when the authentication servers are ACTUALLY down) and I usually just wait it out; but this time the authentication servers are up and it is only affecting my Ubuntu 18.04 computer. I also do not have any firewall or program which could be blocking the connections to play. Moreover it looks like I'm not the only one with this issue as of this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/Minecraft/comments/91kbgt/only_on_one_machine_failed_to_login_the/
