Music suddenly stops when going underwater in any Ocean biome or in a River

If you wait for a song to start playing in the background and then jump into a river or any type of ocean (you need to get fully submerged), the music will suddenly stop.

Sidenote: this only seems to happen in creative mode, but I wasn't able to test it thoroughly.
