coral fan survive outside water (but besides flowing water)

Bug or Feature?

I’m thinking feaure because they probably get the moisture from the block they are placed on. (Plus it makes it easier to work with coral fans.)

My understanding is "adjacent water is good enough, it is touching." I'd call this a "feature" and "works as intended". It would also keep the "Is this coral wet?" check more simple by looking for adjacent water, even if it isn't a source block.

Works as intended, I'm pretty sure. Someone resolve it as such, because the coral is still touching flowing water, and coral survives as long as it's next to water. (I didn't look at the image at first, I thought they were talking about something else.)

maybe a wai, but not a duplicate (and since coral and coral fans aren't solid blocks, they aren't technically touching water, so that's what I wasn't sure if it was wai)

If solid block or not doesn't matter here. When a coral or coral fan is in contact with stationary or flowing water, then it survives.
