Using a Horse spawn egg on a horse should produce a baby horse, but instead it doesn't produce any horse at all. On other mobs, a baby of that kind of mob will be produced.

But the issue was with using a spawn egg on a horse to produce a baby horse, not breeding. I have only been able to use a spawn egg in this way while riding the horse that I want to reproduce. It doesn't seem to work without being on the horse.
Are you saying that when you climb on a horse and then you can make a foal with a spawn egg? If so that's what I am implying. When I said Breeding I meant Spawning. I read the wiki a day or two ago (if that counts) and it said that when you feed a horse wheat, carrots and sugar it restores it's health. for now let's see what this will be marked as c:.
Oh, sorry. That is what I meant. But you should be able to use a spawn egg like this without being on the horse, like with any other mob. That is the issue.
