Mobs invisible after teleporting

Atleast in multiplayer using the official Minecraft server if you teleport either via command or using blocks after you teleport mobs are no longer visible they attack you but you can't see them or hit them. You have to quit the server and rejoin then they appear again until you teleport again.

I've recreated this on several occasions on two different PCs, I have not tried in singleplayer.
