Random block spawn/irremovable blooks

While in the Dark Forest biome, I started a tree kind of living and began a farm on the top of some of the trees. Aside from the tilled soil not getting hydrated, dirt blocks started spawning in next to my farm, replacing some of the leaf blocks. These dirt blocks are destructible and create drops, but they then spawn back in. There is also wheat growing on some of these dirt blocks.
