My screen keeps showing underground then making the graphics above ground dissapear.

the game will be working fine for one minute, then the screen keeps flashing white over and over, then you see underground, and you see all the mobs, it keeps on repeating this process until you finally cant see anything and it wont let me play my game. hat should i do? or how can i fix it? Its either a bug, or a really bad glitch.
