Game fails to load in linux enviornment, launcher works properly

Launcher 2.1.1431 (from Minecraft.tar.gz) loads fine with no issues. New game download of 1.13.2. Attempting to run the game fails with this redacted standard output

Attempted changing java versions from OpenJDK to Oracle's Java. Tried this util thinking my kinda weird wm might be a problem (dwm), no change. Booted i3, no change. 

Issue could be Gentoo lacking some dependancy, or something specific about my config, but troubleshooting on irc led nowhere. I don't have java in my use flags, and I don't really think I need to, but that could maybe be an issue? My other guess is nvidia drivers or a gtk dependancy somewhere. Standard output shows something's going wrong with run-java-tool and syslinks, which is probably something on my system config with a fresh java install, but idk if that's what's causing the failure as all else works. Window/X errors idk about, though changing window managers from something less minimal was an attempt at that line of thought.
