[MC-141957] Packet Size too large

After downloading the server resource pack on play.wynncraft.com as soon as I join the world this error screen comes up internal exception io.netty.handler.decoderexception java.io.ioexception:packet 0/36 (ki) was larger than I expected, found 3 bytes extra whilst reading packet 36 obviously this isnt a server problem as stated by internal exception but as of 1/9/2019 this issue has not been resolved.

However, this issue is Invalid.

Your game, launcher or server is modified.
If you can reproduce the issue in a vanilla environment, please recreate the issue.

Any non-standard client/server/launcher build needs to be taken up with the appropriate team, not Mojang.
Any plugin issues need to be addressed to the creator of the plugin or resource pack.
If you have problems on large servers, such as The Hive and Hypixel, please contact them first as they run modified server software.

Note, this most likely happens because of ViaVersion, contact or ask help on their forum instead.

That isn't the case; while an internal error is happening, it's due to the server sending incorrect data which causes problems while parsing the packet.
