Shift-Clicking the "Destroy Item" button in creative mode deletes your entire inventory, but only visually updates the hotbar.

To reproduce:

  1. Use the command 

    /give @s diamond_hoe 64

    in creative mode.

  2. Shift-right click the "Destroy Item" button.

  3. See that everything but your hotbar hasn't been destroyed.

  4. Play around with some of the items to confirm that they seem to still be there.

  5. Go into survival mode

  6. Click on any of the items, and see that they disappear.

This seems to be caused by something similar to MC-41113, which would be worth looking into.
