Sleeping results in forever loading with 'leave bed' button

sleeping results in the day being reset as normal, but the screen is dark (as if it were getting ready to wake you up) and 'Leave bed' button is still there but does nothing.

Cannot use ESC menu normally, however holding ESC will result in the menu eventually showing

pulling up ESC menu and returning does nothing

leaving server through ESC menu and returning results in normal load/gameplay (with day reset as expected)

Force closing client and reloading into it results in normal loading/gameplay (with day reset as expected)
