Steps to Reproduce:
1. press and hold the inventory button

Just noticed this too while playing the 06a snapshot. I could honestly see this being a problem if where you are in real life doesnt have much other light. I'd also like to say that while standing still and holding down E, pressing any other key, including useless keys such as h or j, will abruptly stop the menu from flashing.
