Graphical Glitch caused by playing for extended period of time

When playing Minecraft: Java edition for an extended period of time the darker shades of blocks begin flashing (i.e blacks , dark blues etc.) 

a work around to this is whenever you notice this flashing, you must go to the lightest area you can find (i.e sand or snow) and look at nothing else for 10-30 seconds. if i starts again repeat process. ( this is a work around but not a solution)
