Zombie Pigmen wearing Skulls display z-fighting

If Zombie Pigmen are given skulls to wear - any of the variants of skull, including the human skull with a player's name in the NBT tag - the ZP's head (specifically, the pig overlay) experiences z-fighting on the top, creating an ugly mesh which flickers distractingly across large distances.
