Campfires no longer produce smoke when placed at a previous campfire location

Campfires no longer produce smoke particles when a campfire is removed and then replaced with a new campfire, see video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wsLqcqqfKZY

Edit: After further testing, it appears to temporarily fix it when you reload your save file, however when breaking it and placing a new campfire it again does not produce smoke.

Not a duplicate, this is about a bug with Campfires, not Chests. I made sure to check first.

It is, same how spawners don't make particles anymore (inside of it) when replacing it. Don't know the cause of MC-144469 but this is the same issue.
