I was playing MineCraft Working on my main world add some stuff here and there. after I was done for the day I saved and quit and start playing again the next day. However I found Half of what I did last night was gone! And I mean half. the farm I made was cut in two the dirt I dug up was filled and the half the animals gone.

What I expected to happen was...:
All my work to be saved.

What actually happened was...:
All that work in vain.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Start any world and do whatever (build, dig, break stuff, cut down a tree.)

2.Pause the game and click save and quit.

3.Reload the world. Note:It may not happen the first time but trust me it will happen.

That is Insane.

I have a similar bug. Except for me it was stuff I had done that day PLUS stuff I had built over the past few days, including when I was playing the world on 1.5. Most of my house vanished, including all chests etc., my paddocks with cows and sheep (these were the only things built in 1.6), my sugar can farm and most of the outer shell of the new castle I was building. It's really annoying cos I've lost stuff I'd gathered from days in my mine.

I believe the cause of the bug may be the absence of the autosave function when pausing the game, that was the major change I found between 1.2.5 and all the later versions.
I'm hoping to get a confirmation on this. If needed I'll make another thread addressing it sense its technically a separate Bug. in the mean time the this thread has been classed a duplicate of MC-2548. so if you wish to help report on the bug you'll have to go there.
