Floatings frames

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Place a block
2. Place a frame on that block.(when you right click the frame takes time to put)
3. Then break this block behind a frame.

4. Done, floating frame is placed! (but suddenly BOOM,
It became an item)
5 it moves a little weird in the air
6 the frame it takes to throw the item 2.3 seconds

What do you exactly mean with "squares"? Paintings or item frames? If so, would MC-45168 (WAI) describe your issue?
