Minecarts will not pass corner rails

I've set up a 3x5 oval track in a flatworld in Java edition with a combination of powered and regular rails. The minecart, when either pushed, or when I'm in it, will not go pass the corner rails. I've tried this multiple times with the track i mentioned above. I'll link a video if i can get one made. or a gif. I don't know, something. Hopefully this isnt just me!
