[MC-146298] Portal after beating dragon doesn't send me to Islands

I have beaten the ender dragon twice in my single player world, it creates the portal to the islands no problem, but every time I throw an ender pearl into one, it just sends me to the obsidian platform I spawned on.

Caused by MC-138069. This comment should help:

Only newly generated gateway will behave correctly, since wrong coordinates are permanently stored in block. Though older ones can be fixed with "/data remove block <x> <y> <z> ExitPortal".
