Bed supposedly removed or inaccessible

On latest snapshot, to avoid "suffocation" issue, I purposefully put my bed with two blocks of space in EVERY direction. The problem is, now each time I die, I receive the error that my home bed is inaccessible or missing. The only workaround is to allow the suffocation glitch to take place, which is less of an issue with keepInventory true–but still a bit of a pain, and consistently spawns the player above the home, though occasionally spawns them beside the bed after the first sleep following initial bed placement.
