This is more of a feature request than a bug report, but it is suitable enough to be reported as a bug.
How to "reproduce":
1. Join a test world on 19w12b (or any other versions that has stripped logs and stripped wood).
2. Get 4 stripped logs in your inventory.
3. Try to craft stripped wood by putting the stripped logs in a 2x2 square, and it doesn't work.
